Personal Childhood Web

One person that has nurtured me through my life is Ms. Claudia Dillion. I used to attend her daycare center while my mom worked. Every since then, she has always had contact with me throughout my life. She is the person who was always there cheering me on to the finish line. She attended every award program, cheer competition, and graduations. She always calls to check on my success to make sure I stay on the right track. She no longer has her daycare business, because of sickness.  But now she is wanting me to take over center. Although, I feel its a big responsibility I know I can always count on her to be there.

My high school teacher Mrs. Elizabeth Crider, is another person who has a great impact on my life. My senior year in high school, with five months before going to college I wasn't sure what I wanted to do in life. One day in English class, we had to do a research paper on what we wanted to become in life. I had the hardest time because I wasn't sure what I wanted to do. I discussed the matter with my teacher and she gave me a test, basically asking questions on what I liked and didn't like. After the test one of results was a teacher based on my responses. Mrs. Crider told me that she seen me as a Pre-K teacher and you will do a wonderful job. So, I went with that response and education was my major while attending college. After, graduating high school, she gave me her number to stay in contact with her through my journey. I was happy she did, because I used her number more often than I thought. She was a great help with my classes and letting me come observe her classroom for observations. She even gave me tips on how to pass the state certification test. When graduating college she was there in the stands cheering me own. She always calls me periodically now, to see do I need any classroom materials or just to talk about the education field.

  1. I think its great that you have two people in the education field that have helped support you. They are great resources to use and bounce ideas off of when needed. Having people from outside the family to support is wonderful because you get to see things from different points of view rather than from just what your family sees/believes. I hope that I can keep in touch with some of my students and help make an impact on their lives. Thanks for sharing!
